Scope:

Assisted a company who works around ethanol as a part of their manufacturing process. They had a metal halide lamp break as a result of burning out and this caused sparks to rain down near their ethanol drum. Thankfully, no-one was injured. Class 1, Division 2 fixtures are designed to reduce the risk of the luminaire causing an explosion when potential materials are present.

Results:

After the incident, the company needed quick delivery in order to operate safely and reduce down time. BKY Lighting was able to deliver 20 fixtures within 4 working days. They were able to install them within 1 day and able to safely get back to work with minimal down time.
